  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 1-1/2 pounds)

Nutritional Facts

1 chicken thigh: 169 calories, 8g fat (2g saturated fat), 76mg cholesterol, 460mg sodium, 1g carbohydrate (0 sugars, 0 fiber), 21g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 3 lean meat.


  1. In a small bowl, mix the first eight ingredients. Sprinkle over both sides of chicken.
  2. On a lightly greased grill rack, grill chicken, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 6-8 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 170°. Yield: 6 servings.
