Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 boneless pork chops (1/3 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) salsa

Nutritional Facts

1 each: 272 calories, 12g fat (4g saturated fat), 82mg cholesterol, 400mg sodium, 3g carbohydrate (3g sugars, 3g fiber), 33g protein

Directions

  1. In an ovenproof skillet, brown the pork chops in oil; drain any fat. Pour salsa over chops. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25 minutes. Yield: 4-6 servings.

"I had to reduce the recipe for 3 people. I used about 1/3 jar of salsa mixed with 1/2 cup water and a tsp of chicken bouillon powder. For some reason the chops were tough but the flavor was really good."

"quick, easy, very good. i added sharp shredded cheese last 5 minutes of cooking. The thing I liked about this is that you don't have to go buy any more ingredients as most households have salsa."
