Sparkling Lemonade Recipe
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup lemon peel strips (about 1-1/2 lemons)
- 3/4 cup lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
- 1 cup club soda, chilled
- 1. In a small saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Stir in lemon strips. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Cool slightly.
- 2. Transfer to a pitcher. Stir in lemon juice; cover and refrigerate until chilled. Discard lemon strips. Stir in club soda. Serve over ice. Yield: 2-1/2 cups.

"OMG this is sooo good!! You gotta try it -- with real sugar! You might want to make a double or triple batch because this recipe only makes 2 cups -- not nearly enough to last a day, and my kids and I drink a lot of lemonade during the summer!"
"This is a very good tasting lemonade. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is extremely sweet. I love sweets, but the amount of sugar in this recipe is too much. As it is, might work well if using limes (limeade). For lemons I would cut the sugar to 1/2 cup, everything else is fine. Make double and triple batches, I gulped this recipe in only a few minutes; so refreshing!"
