Slow Cooker Party Mix Recipe
- 4 cups Wheat Chex
- 4 cups Cheerios
- 3 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 can (12 ounces) salted peanuts
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 to 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1. In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine cereals, pretzels and peanuts. Combine the butter, cheese, celery salt and seasoned salt; drizzle over cereal mixture and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 1 to 1-1/2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature. Yield: about 3 quarts.
3/4 cup: 237 calories, 14g fat (3g saturated fat), 8mg cholesterol, 532mg sodium, 22g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 4g fiber), 8g protein.

"The favor is very mild, but it seems to build and is still fairly addicting. If I have the ingredients, I will make it again and add more seasonings."
"SOOOO addicting!! When I make it, I use Crispix in place of the Chex cereal and also add 3 c. of cheese crackers (goldfish or Cheez-its). I use small pretzel twists (or goldfish pretzels) instead of pretzel sticks and I also increase the butter/margarine by 2T. and the Parmesan cheese to 6T. I put a paper towel over the top of the crockpot as it cooks to keep the condensation from dripping back down on it. Spread it on a cookie sheet to cool and crisp after it finishes.I eat this for breakfast.... :) YUMMY!"

"I use crispx cereal in place of the chex andsesame sticks instead if pretezls. I add a littlesoy sauce to the liquid mixture.This mix is one of my family's favorites."
"Very good and simple recipe. I baked it in a 250º oven for one hour turning every 15 minutes. I added garlic salt and worcestershire and did not add the parmesan. Simple version of the original Chex Party Mix."
