This mildly seasoned snack mix is always a party favorite. Served warm from a slow cooker, the munchable mixture is very satisfying. —Dana Hughes, Gresham, Oregon

"Never cared for mix with all of those flavorings. Once my friends tasted mine, I had to tell them how easy and much better than others. Half a box Corn chex, 1/2box rice chex, 1/2 box cheerios, 1/2 bag stix pretzels, either mixed nuts or just cashews, as many as you like. Put in large pan with room to stir. Put 4 sticks (1lb) butter spaced equal on top. Put in 225 oven for 2 hours stirring every 1/2 hour to bring melted butter up from bottom of pan to top of cereal. Take out of oven and let it cool and stir again every once in awhile to keep butter from settling in bottom of pan instead of on the cereal. It really is good and you don't get "funny" breath."

"The favor is very mild, but it seems to build and is still fairly addicting. If I have the ingredients, I will make it again and add more seasonings."

"SOOOO addicting!! When I make it, I use Crispix in place of the Chex cereal and also add 3 c. of cheese crackers (goldfish or Cheez-its). I use small pretzel twists (or goldfish pretzels) instead of pretzel sticks and I also increase the butter/margarine by 2T. and the Parmesan cheese to 6T. I put a paper towel over the top of the crockpot as it cooks to keep the condensation from dripping back down on it. Spread it on a cookie sheet to cool and crisp after it finishes.

I eat this for breakfast.... :) YUMMY!"

"Turned out just okay. Having to stir it every 20 minutes was kind of a pain."

"I use crispx cereal in place of the chex and

sesame sticks instead if pretezls. I add a little
soy sauce to the liquid mixture.
This mix is one of my family's favorites."

"Very good and simple recipe. I baked it in a 250º oven for one hour turning every 15 minutes. I added garlic salt and worcestershire and did not add the parmesan. Simple version of the original Chex Party Mix."
