Slow-Cooked Sage Dressing Recipe
- 14 to 15 cups day-old bread cubes
- 3 cups chopped celery
- 1-1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1-1/2 teaspoons rubbed sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1-1/4 cups butter, melted
- 1. Combine bread, celery, onion, sage, salt and pepper; mix well. Add butter and toss. Spoon into a 5-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, stirring once. Yield: about 12 servings.
