Reviews for Skillet Beef and Macaroni
"Came out great, my family loved it. Was in the mood for some home cooking flavors. I added 1 jalape?o with no seeds cause I like it a little spicy..I didn't use the warsc. sauce and half way through I needed about a cup more of water. ..my wife said we should try it with a can of pinto beans in it next time..will do."
"For a hearty one pot meal drop in a can of Bush's Original vegetarian Baked Beans. Adds a mellow sweetness to the sauce. Yummm."
"I made this tonight and it was just o.k. The macaroni wasn't done & there wasn't enough liquid to continue cooking it. If I made this again I would add more liquid or less macaroni. I did add a little chili powder but it still needed something. I have made a similar recipe in the past which called for spicy v8 rather than tomato sauce & I prefer that over this one. Not a keeper."
"I was looking for a recipe like this without chili, cheese, Italian sauce, or a bunch of ingredients. I read this and thought it sounded a little bland. I was so pleasantly surprised--it's delicious! I've made it several times and been happy every time--there are usually no leftovers. My family loves it."
"Five stars for being fast, easy and tasty. Thanks!"
"my kids liked this one.. i added mushrooms and more water and tweeked it with additional ingredients.. definitely would make again."
"This is my go to for macaroni and beef. We love it and have been making for years."
"I made this recipe for a potluck and it was a huge hit - I made a double batch and none came home :) I did make a few changes though. Instead of the tomato sauce I used one can NN small diced tomatoes with green pepper, celery and onion and one can Hunts diced tomatoes with basil oregano and garlic. (because I doubled the recipe) and I added a generous sprinkling of granulated garlic. Even my picky husband liked it. I'll definitely be making this one again."
"My son who is a picky eater loves this recipe - even with the green peppers! It's an easy last minute meal with ingredients already in my pantry!"
"This is what I call "goo-losh" except I leave out the green pepper and add mushrooms & sliced black olives and of course garlic powder. I top mine with grated cheese (very good with sharp cheddar). Make the big batch because it's always better the second day."
