Simple Side Salad Recipe
Toss together the remaining lettuce and celery from yesterday’s croissants for this speedy salad. For a fast finishing touch, top with chopped tomato and your favorite salad dressing.
- 2 cups torn leaf lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- Salad dressing of your choice
- 1. Divide the lettuce, tomato and celery among four salad plates. Drizzle with dressing. Serve immediately. Yield: 4 servings.
1 serving (1/2 cup) equals 15 calories, trace fat (trace saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 19 mg sodium, 3 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 1 g protein.
