Reviews for Savory Grilled Potatoes
"Used this recipe in foil packs over an open fire during our family camping trip. They were AMAZING!! We will use this on every camp menu from now on! I prepared the foil packs at home, and pulled them out of the refrigerator all ready to bake in the fire the night we had planned for them. Super good, and very easy."
"Wow! Surprisingly wonderful flavor. Finished product tasted different than sauce. Will do again."
"Easy to make and tasted great!"
"This is a great recipe. I've been making it for over a year now. I use olive oil instead of butter and it works out great. I also love garlic and add a few extra cloves. One word of warning: don't try to sub greek yogurt for mayo in the recipe. It just doesn't work out."
"I've prepared this for quite a few years now and it's perfect every time. Tonight I'm cooking it in the oven (too snowy for the grill). It works great too."
"My whole family liked this. I tripled the sauce ingredients plus added a 1/4 cup of sour cream. I cut up 6 medium baking potatoes (used my mandolin slicer) and tossed it all together, but divided the potatoes into 3 packets. Due to personal preference, I omitted the parsley, the onions, and the butter. They turned out amazingly! I suggest adding the sour cream. It made it perfect!"
"very tasty and easy, we don't care for onions so I just used a dash or 2 of onion powder. Will def. make again!"
"Was very flavorful, easy and will make again."
"These potatoes were easy and amazingly delicious! A new favorite for my family."
"This was really good! I would agree that it makes way more than enough for two people. And, the onion cooks quicker than the potato (ours burned while the potato was perfect), so I might leave out the onion next time."
"These potatoes are great!! I also add some sour cream to the mixture."
"This is a great way to fix potatoes on the grill. I divided the potatoes up into two smaller foil packets and placed them on the edges of the grill, and after an hour there the potatoes were perfectly tender and not a bit overdone. I also think this recipe serves more like 3 to 4 than 2, but perhaps we just have smaller appetites than most people."
"To make prep even easier, I parboiled red potatoes and cut into large cubes, also preparing the coating ahead of time. I used the nonstick foil for the tent and tossed the ingredients just before cooking. They were delicious and grilled very quickly."
