"What a great way to get a husband to eat apples! Mine will not touch raw apples but this recipe takes just a little of the crunch out of the apple, but not all of it. I used Honey Crisp and very little brown sugar and was rewarded with the words I love to hear, "you can make these again"."
"These are delicious. I use brown sugar instead. I put these on gluten free French toast and pancakes. They are just the right amount of sweetness. I make these all the time."
"I thicken my apple pie filling with a little cornstarch and water and continue cooking until thick."
"I used brown sugar and these apples turned out delicious -- sweet enough but not too sweet."
"I wanted the liquid a little thicker so I added 1/3 cut light brown sugar. It turned out perfect. Used this recipe to as a topping for pancakes, and will definitely use it again."
