Ingredients

  • 1 pound mixed nuts
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix

Nutritional Facts

1/4 cup: 264 calories, 19g fat (3g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 727mg sodium, 20g carbohydrate (8g sugars, 3g fiber), 7g protein.

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the nuts and maple syrup; mix well. Sprinkle with brown sugar and salad dressing mix; stir gently to coat. Spread in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 300° for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 3 cups.

"These are great! Spread them on parchment paper to bake. They are easier to break apart after they cool. They were a big hit at our "goodies exchange" - something different yet delicious!"

"Are these ever yummy---and addicting! I love the sweet-and-savory combo of the maple syrup and the Ranch Dressing mix. I've pretty well singed the roof of my mouth----I tried one fresh from the oven, and I couldn't stop! Be patient--be sure to let the nuts cool first--lol. Also, best to use real maple syrup, not pancake syrup for the best flavor. Thanks, Carolyn!"

"10/01 I'm looking for a plain roasted nut recipe. No spices, no sweetner. I want to just roast nuts, either peanuts, pecans or walnuts. Can anyone help me. My parents used to roast raw peanuts when I was a child, but I don't know the oven temperture setting or how many minutes. I do know how to roast peanuts in the shell.
