Rainbow Fruit Bowl Recipe
I've found mint gives melon a delicious zip. Mixed with fruit juices and served over melon, it's a pleasant blend that's both sweet and refreshing.—Dorothy Pritchett, Wills Point, Texas
- 2 cups watermelon balls
- 2 cups honeydew balls
- 2 cups cantaloupe balls
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon snipped fresh mint
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda
- Combine melon balls in a glass bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together juices, sugar, mint and orange peel; pour over melon and toss gently.
- Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Just before serving, add soda and toss gently. Yield: 8 servings.
