Mom knew how to easily round out a meal with this crisp, cheesy garlic toast. We gobbled it up when she served it alongside of slaw or salad...and used it to soak up gravy from her stew, too.

"I have my own way of making garlic toast and no salt. I just take a slice of bread and lightly butter one side with butter or margarine and turn it buttered side down in a fry pan, leave it until a light golden brown and just sprinkle garlic on the buttered-toasted side to taste, depending on how much you like garlic. This is good on a hot day, as there no heating up an oven, just one burner on the stove top, or an electric griddle. They come out perfect, unless you wait to long before removing :-)"
