Quick French Salad Dressing
This simple dressing has served me for many years. Using this basic recipe, I can easily make simple variations, usually with ingredients I have on hand. As a result, I have always made my own salad dressings.

- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Dash pepper
- Salad greens
- In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the oil, vinegar, salt,
- garlic and pepper; shake well. Serve over salad greens. Yield: about
- 1/3 cup.
