Pulled Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

1/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon cider vinegar

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 teaspoons chili powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1-1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts

6 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
Directions

In a small bowl, mix the first 11 ingredients. Place chicken in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Pour sauce over top.

Cook, covered, on low until chicken is tender, 4-5 hours. Remove chicken; cool slightly. Shred meat with 2 forks. Return to slow cooker; heat through. Serve on buns.
