DEAR KAREN: I'm looking for a good chocolate frosting recipe that only makes a small amount. Sometimes I make just a few brownies and don't want a lot of extra frosting.

Here's a quick and easy frosting recipe that would work great on brownies, and it only yields 1/2 cup. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon melted butter, 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar, 1 tablespoon baking cocoa, 1 tablespoon milk and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and spreadable. This frosting could be used on cupcakes or cookies, too.
