Reviews for Pistachio Mallow Salad
"Love this recipe. With the crunch from the pistachios and the creamy pudding mixture and marshmallows, it's really smooth and refreshing!"
"This is always a hit at family celebrations! Everyone wants my recipe! So easy--so delicious!"
"I have been making this "salad" for years and my children and grandchildren look forward to it as part of any dinner. My youngest granddaughter calls it "mistachio" so now that is our endearing term for this favorite recipe. We love all of the pistachio recipes from Taste of Home. I do agree with Imdelzercox, mix the pudding and pineapple before adding the other ingredients."
"So good. My mom made this once a year for either Thanksgiving or Christmas and it was always my favorite. Only thing different was the pistachios on top, which I didn't care for only because of the saltiness. I don't know if there is such thing as unsalted pistachios, but if so that would be the way to go. I don't really like walnuts so I didn't try those. But either way, this recipe is a family favorite and AWESOME!"
"So good- so easy!"
"Tip: mix the pineapple and the pistachio pudding mix together first. This will ensure that there aren't any pudding lumps! Then add in the Cool Whip; it helps if you leave the CW on the counter for maybe twenty to thirty minutes first so it is easier to stir. Then add marshmallows and refrigerate. We love this recipe, too! It has been a family recipe for years and years, and I'm so glad it is here! :-)"
"Made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. It' went quickly and the family is asking when I'm going to make it again!"
"This is an easy side dish to make for picnics and the kids eat it up."
"So easy and really good. Be careful or you will eat the whole thing!"
"This is so good. I added a can of cocktail fruit with half the juice and used crushed walnuts as a topping... absolutely delicious!"
"I always make this recipe,I usually add a container of sour cream to this recipe. So easy and delicious. No need to put nuts and food coloring."
"I use to make this back in the Nixon era and it was called Watergate salad, I have no idea why. I had forgotten about it until last year when my adult son asked for it at Christmas. I have started making it again. I pulled it together from memory, not I have the recipe again."
"LOVE IT. SO EASY & DELICIOUS"
"Our family has been eating this for YEARS!! My kids called it "Green Stuff" so that name stuck...it is quick, easy, inexpensive and delicious....my keds did not like the extra nuts, so we eliminated them....we have given this recipe out to so many folks...one taste and they would ask, "what is this?"...the kids would all say "Green Stuff" and the recipe would be copied for the visitors...Good food! Good memories!"
"This EXACT recipe has been in my family for generations. My grandmother used to make this for every occasion. It is amazing, I love it so much! I was hoping to find it on-line because I never could figure out the measurements, this recipe is dead on. And if you do it right, it's not too dry! It's always moist and melts in your mouth."
"I love this! It's so easy and soo good... and very cheap which is nice!"
"This salad appears to be missing something - too dry. I remade it with with the suggested version from hdneuhaus and it was much better."
"Try to lighten this up with sugar-free pudding 1 oz. and lite syrup pineapple.Let the kids get their legs in the kitchen with this one. Let 'em have a couple marshmallows and they get to lick the bowl, too."
