  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Salted peanuts, optional

2 tablespoons: 191 calories, 11g fat (2g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 100mg sodium, 21g carbohydrate (18g sugars, 1g fiber), 5g protein.


  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to boil; boil 1 minute or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat; stir in peanut butter. Place in a blender; blend on high until smooth. Cool slightly; pour over ice cream. Sprinkle with peanuts if desired. Refrigerate any leftovers. Yield: 1-1/2 cups sauce.

"I'll admit to being skeptical when my daughter and her friend wanted to make this for dessert; however, it's fantastic! They ate almost all of it betwixt the two! It's also very good over chocolate and s'more ice cream."

"This peanut butter topping is delicious and so easy to make. I have even made it without putting it in a blender and just pouring it over the ice cream and it is still wonderful! :)"
