  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 graham cracker crust (9 inches)
  • Salted chopped peanuts

1 piece: 434 calories, 27g fat (11g saturated fat), 16mg cholesterol, 276mg sodium, 40g carbohydrate (29g sugars, 2g fiber), 8g protein.


  1. In a large bowl, beat the peanut butter, cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping; pour into prepared crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill until serving. Yield: 8 servings.

"I bought a 9-inch pie crust, measured all the ingredients exactly, but the filling barely covered the bottom of the crust! Not sure what went wrong; no one else here seemed to have this problem. The filling tastes amazing though; I am going to use it as a dip instead. I added Reese's pieces."

"I can't do a fair review since I did one change. The only thing I added was 1 teas. of pure vanilla extract as I've seen in other peanut butter pie recipes. This was a really good pie recipe and it got rave reviews from our guests. I would make it again! I bake from scratch and I did cheat and bought a store bought graham cracker crust. I will make a homemade graham cracker crust next time and try it that way also. Thank you for sharing Lee!"

"This recipe is in fact simple and delicious! It's smooth and creamy texture was luxurious and decadent. I added a drizzle of hot fudge topping to the top of the pie and I also sprinkled some mini chocolate chips on the top as well as stirred some in. It was an instant hint for dessert tonight and one of my favorite recipes from Simple and Delicious!"

"This is the pie I make when we don't want left-overs! Perfect recipe for making a single pie. Easily can be customized to tastes with addition of any chopped chocolate, candy or nuts. Often I only stir in half the whipped topping, reserving the rest to spread on the top of the pie. As a Taste of Home volunteer food editor I found this simple classic pie delightful!"

"This pie is absolutely great just the way it is. I also used this as a base for many variations. I have added chocolate ganache to the bottom of the crust before putting in the peanut butter mixture. I have used an oreo crust and a chocolate graham cracker crust. They all turn out great. Thank you for this recipe it never disappoints!"

"This was really good and so easy to make. Everyone loved it. I made my own whipped cream instead of cool whip and used a full cup of pb. I also used a chocolate crust and topped with PB cups. I did have to add a little milk to the PB mixture to smooth it out more. I'm making it again to day but I think I'm going to try freezing it for more of an ice cream texture. Great dessert for PB lovers"
