 Pasta with Brussels Sprouts
Even family members who don't care for brussels sprouts won't be able to resist them tossed with pasta in a light cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen brussels sprouts
  • 1 cup uncooked spiral pasta
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • In a large saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil. Add brussels
  • sprouts and pasta. Return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered,
  • for 6-8 minutes or until sprouts and pasta are tender. Drain.
  • Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over pasta mixture and toss
  • to coat. Yield: 4 servings.
