  • 2 large red apples, chopped
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 medium firm banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch salt

2/3 cup: 165 calories, 11g fat (2g saturated fat), 5mg cholesterol, 58mg sodium, 16g carbohydrate (13g sugars, 2g fiber), 2g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 2 fat, 1 fruit.


  1. In a large bowl, combine the apples, grapes, banana and walnuts. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, lemon juice and salt; pour over fruit mixture and toss gently to coat. Yield: 8 servings.

"This was really good. I don't like most fruit so I never make or eat fruit salad, but I will definitely be making this again. Then only things I did different were to use pecans instead of walnuts, superfine sugar (1t), and reduced fat mayonnaise."
