Reviews for No-Cook Coconut Pie
"I'm trying to cut calories wherever I can, so i used sugar free pudding, light whipped topping and 1% milk. Yummy!"
"Very easy. I only used part of the coconut extract because I ran out, but it was still very good. My picky family said to make it again. Thanks for a very nice recipe!"
"Wonderful! Only change I made was the pudding. I used coconut cream pudding instead of vanilla, everything else was the same."
"For poobyrooh from New Zealand....You can use sweetened whipped cream for Cool Whip or if you have a substitute for whipped cream (Dream Whip) that would work also. I suggest using a little dissolved gelatin in your whipped cream to make it more stable. Look on line for amounts."
"I'm from New Zealand, we don't have frozen whipped topping in our stores, so what are the ingredients for this please? Also we don't have Graham Crackers, so would any biscuit base do> Thanks"
"Pinkie55 - The 1.4 oz box of pudding you refer to in your review is for SUGAR FREE pudding mix. This recipe calling for 3.4 oz boxes is correct in the fact that it is not calling for the sugar free version of the pudding. It simply states instant vanilla pudding mix. With that being said, the pie is easy and quick to prepare and is delicious. I added more coconut simply because I LOVE the stuff!"
"This is delish ! Followed recipe exactly and it was soooo yummy I'll be making more for sure !!"
"Please correct the size of the box of pudding. It should be 1.4 oz. Not 3.4 oz."
"i'm not from the USA but would to make this i'm in the UK what do i need"
"Made for my father-in-law who adores coconut cream pie. Excellent recipe....easy to put together, tasty and well received by all. Will be making again for sure. Thanks for posting!"
"I made this pie for my family. Coconut is one of their favorite pies and this one was really delicious. It is just the perfect pie for hot summer nights when you don't want to heat the kitchen up baking a pie in the oven. I have it marked as a keeper!"
"This was so very easy and delicious. I did change the recipe a little. First I used a gluten free graham crust. Then I used one vanilla pudding and one coconut pudding and I left out the coconut extract (it just seemed easier). It was so good even my little children ate it. In fact we were all fighting over the last two pieces. I would make this for company or even to bring to my mother in laws house. That says a lot."
"I don't use the coconut extract, I use vanilla. I added a heaping cup of grated coconut to the pudding before folding in the frozen whipped topping. I think I will follow another reviewer's suggestion and use Dream Whip next time, sounds good!"
"Easy and great pie. The first time i made this pie, I substituted Dream Whip for the frozen whipped topping. I later made it with the whipped topping and found the Dream Whip makes the pie a lot richer. Thanks for the great recipe."
"So quick, So good."
"would the calorie count go down if I used sugar free pudding?"
