Mozzarella Tuna Melts Recipe

Mozzarella Tuna Melts Recipe

While the soup simmers, Jo assembles tasty Mozzarella Tuna Melts. "Our daughter's home economics teacher shared the recipe for these all-American favorites," she notes. Using a mini food processor to chop the celery and onion for the filling helps shave preparation time. Then Jo just pops the sandwiches in the oven.

"These are phenomenal. A great quick supper. I had 5oz cans of tuna, so I used two and slightly increased the mayo. I also added a diced dill pickle spear. Like others, I left off the tomato, just because I wasn't in the mood for it. :-) Awesome!"

"I don't typically like tuna salad sandwiches, but this one is nice and fresh and pleasing. I leave the tomato off of part of them in the cooking as my husband doesn't like "cooked" tomatoes, but i do. I've made this one several times now. Another nice and quick, yet pleasing dish."
