"I have never made brittle before, traditional or microwave, but this turned out perfectly for me. The brittle hardened just fine - a little quickly so you do have to work fast to spread it thin. It is very good and very easy. The girls at work asked for the recipe.

I used the recipe out of the magazine from many years ago - and the magazine differs slightly. The first two times in the microwave are 4 minutes and the last time is 2. That might make the difference."

"Be careful with any brittle receipe that does not have you reach a tempature of 295-300 degrees. Mine did not harden either and I have an 1100 watt microwave Easy does not mean you.can ignore basic rules of cooking."

"It sounds like you didn't cook long enough. Microwave ovens vary. Try cooking 5 minutes before stirring and then 2-1/2 minutes longer."
