"The only thing I have ever used this recipe for is pancakes. I use 2 c. of the baking mix, 2 tbs of oil, 1 1/2 c milk, and one egg. They are mouth-watering and delicious, especially when you use part buttermilk."

"I, too, had trouble with the Master Baking Mix. I made the Blueberry Quick Bread and when baked, it was very crumbly. I'm wondering if the use of shortening, instead of oil, is the problem. Any suggestions?"

"You need a HUGE mixing bowl to make the recipe in. It came out over the top of my KitchenAid mixer. I used this mix in the Yellow Cake recipe on this site and it came out horrible. I don't know if it was the Master Baking Mix that made the cake so bad or the Yellow Cake recipe that did it. It almost seems like this recipe is good for biscuits rather than any cake mix. I have no idea what to do with the rest of the batch I have sitting in my freezer."
