Make-Ahead Eggnog Recipe
Homemade eggnog is a holiday tradition for many families. Our slow cooker version of the classic drink couldn't make it any easier. —Taste of Home Test Kitchen, Greendale, Wisconsin
- 6 cups whole milk
- 1 cup egg substitute
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons rum extract
- 1-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- French vanilla whipped topping, optional
- 1. In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the first five ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until heated through. Serve in mugs; dollop with whipped topping if desired. Yield: 9 servings (3/4 cup each).
3/4 cup (calculated without whipped topping) equals 174 calories, 5 g fat (3 g saturated fat), 16 mg cholesterol, 121 mg sodium, 23 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, 8 g protein.
