Reviews for Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies
"Throw out any other chocolate chip cookie recipe because this is the only one you'll ever need! I 100% agree with the other person who said this is better than the Nestle package! I used a #24 scoop for 14 minutes and they were perfect! Yum!"
"One of the best cookie recipes ever. I leave out the nuts and always chill the dough. This doesn't make very many jumbo cookies so I always double the recipe."
"Love these cookies. My husband says they are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. Rather than make 2 doz., I make them smaller and make 4 dozen. I also pressed them down on the cookie sheet to make them flatter."
"I just want to say that this is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I have come across! I ate one shortly after I pulled them out of the oven and it was a like eating a little piece of Heaven! I will definetly use this recipe whenever I am craving homemade cookies. Very easy and quick baking time. I did leave the nuts out though."
"Just made these again yesterday....I always use real butter, just my preference. I toast the pecans and this time I added a cup or so of dried tart cherries along with the chocolate chips. Use an ice cream scoop....ya, they're GIANT....six per cookie sheet, but what the heck !LOVE 'EM !
"These are the best!!!"
"Awesome. The best chocolate cookies, they are our family favorite cookies, make every weekend"
"i loved it! the first time i cooked these cookies i was wrong! i put 2 teaspoons of salt, and it was a bad idea! dont ever do that check your portions, beacuse it can taste bad as my cookies, but my second time i make these cookies tastes soooo goood! thanks for the recipe !"
"These cookies are fantastic! A message to trixiejo302 - when I made the dough I formed the cookies with a size 16 scoop and then put them all on a big cookie sheet in the refrigerator. I baked a few that night and the rest I put in the freezer. I take out a few every afternoon and put them in the refrigerator. I bake those just before we have our evening tea so we can have fresh cookies every evening."
"I absolutely love this recipe! I did not include the pecans and I used two bags of chocolate chips instead of one (because I love chocolate). They are perfect, I would definitely make them again and I love how big they are!"
"This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I have made it several times and always get requests for it. Great recipe!"
"I used 2 1/2 cups of milk chocolate chips and pecans, this was the best recipe that I have ever found....I will make this again and again..."
"The name of these cookies is true to form for sure. Jumbo is definitely what you get and they are PERFECT. Chewy gooey on the inside with a nice crisp outer edge. I left the dough sit in the refrigerator overnight and I had a heck of a time forming the dough to bake the cookies but it's all good. It was well worth the work. I think that next time I make these, I will run a batch through the oven after chilling for 15 or 20 minutes just to see how they turn out but other than that, right on!"
"I did not like the taste of the shortening. They were very pale no matter how long I left them in the oven. If I try them again, I will use 1 cup of butter and only 1/3 cup shortening."
"Very Good, I left out the pecans tho, :)"
"I used 1 cup white chocolate chips and 1 cup milk chocolate chips with 1 cup macadamia nuts, came out wonderful! Will make these again."
"The BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever made! Used 1.5 bags of chocolate chips instead of just 1 bag. And I left out the nuts. These cookies are nice and crunchy on the outside and rich and gooey on inside. Excellent!"
"These cookies have become a favorite request to bring at family get togethers. My students also ask for them for class parties but I have to omit the pecans."
"Very good! Moist and delicious!"
"These cookies were Great!! Best chocolate chip cookie ever."
"I've made this recipe several times, and each time I bring it in they are gone in a matter of minutes! Use the Cadbury milk chocolate eggs, they taste AMAZING in these cookies!"
"I wasn't too impressed with this recipe. It seemed to lack flavor. I didn't make the cookies jumbo sized I did them normal size. I just didn't think they were all that great... They turned out alright, but I don't think I will make them again..."
"This cookie is excellent. I baked them for 13 minutes and they were just right."
"Didn't realize until nearly through the recipe that I had no baking powder, but the cookies turned out well anyhow. I used walnuts instead of pecans, and figure it was equally good. Very tasty!"
"Best chocolate chip cookie recipe! Way to go Kansas!!! I used homemade toffee 1C., 1C. peanuts, and 1C.semi-sweet squares. Turned out Yummy! I'm throwing my other recipes for chocolate chip cookies in the trash. This is here to stay."
"I have made this recipe SEVERAL times! It is delicious, and many of my friends request this recipe! One modification that they go CRAZY for is to replace the chocolate chips with the Cadbury milk chocolate eggs! It adds color and it tastes delicious!"
"Very good cookies! I substituted raisins for the pecans (I didn't have any pecans.) and made the cookies a little smaller. They are wonderful, and I will make them again."

"this was a really good cookie, i didnt add nuts in because there is a nut allergy in my family but they were still really good"
"Our family just loved these, substituted walnuts for pecans and added raisins and for us, we just loved them. They're easy to make but don't last long, even with the size of them. I made 3 racks of 6 and in 3 days they are gone."
" Hey, Oakley, another fellow Kansas here....Overland Park to be exact."> These cookes are really SUPER but my adult daughter said, when I presented her family with about a dozen of them, "Mom ! Have you ever heard of PORTION CONTROL !!" What the heck, I only eat ONE of these where I'd grab two or three of the regular size so what's the difference, right ????">
"These cookies were awesome will replace my my toll house cookie recipe also !!"
"These have replaced my old stand-by chocolate chip cooke recipe. Very, very good. I made them with all butter just because I didn't have shortening."
