I created this dish to make the most of an overabundance of yellow squash and zucchini from our garden. It was a hit with the whole family. It's so easy to ladle the homemade sauce over quick-cooking frozen ravioli for a satisfying dinner.

“I first served this pasta dish with a tossed salad when friends dropped by and stayed for dinner,” recalls Amy Burns of Charleston, Illinois. “Since then, I've modified it to include some vegetables, so it's a complete meal by itself. My sons ask for it all the time. Frozen peas, corn, chopped broccoli and sliced zucchini can be used alone or in any combination that you like in place of the vegetable medley listed,” she adds.
My family loves this dish—it's on our menu at least once a month. It's easy to double for large crowds...just keep it warm in a slow cooker. I usually serve the ravioli with green beans amandine and garlic bread.—Krendi Ford, Belleville, Michigan
“I dreamed up this dish one day when I was trying to use up a package of frozen ravioli,” relates Judy Melotte of DePere, Wisconsin. She jazzed up the pasta with the flavor of pizza, and now it’s a favorite.
I came up with this recipe after I sampled a similar dish when my husband and I went out to dinner to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Now I make it at home often. When I'm not re-creating recipes, I'm busy quilting, crafting and keeping up with our four children and five grandkids.
