- 3 cups water
- 3/4 cup lemon juice
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cinnamon sticks (4 inches), optional
- In a saucepan over medium heat, cook and stir the water, lemon juice, sugar and lemon peel until sugar is dissolved. Pour into mugs; dot each with butter. Serve with a cinnamon stick if desired. Yield: 4 servings (about 1 cup each).
