Hot Apple Topping Recipe
After dinner, everyone usually dashes off, but this treat makes them linger around the table.—Delia Gurnow, New Madrid, Missouri
- 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Vanilla ice cream
- 1. In a saucepan, combine the first four ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through. Serve over ice cream. Yield: 2 cups.
1 serving (1/4 cup) equals 85 calories, trace fat (trace saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 33 mg sodium, 22 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, trace protein.
