These grilled bananas are the perfect dessert following a cookout. My family was skeptical at first, but everyone tried the recipe and they all agreed it was delicious. I use coconut rum from the Bahamas. —Lori Wendt, Mahomet, Illinois

"incredibly delicious desert. i used three jumbo bananas sliced longways and the cut in half. grilled the bananas until the had grill marks and added a bit of corn syrup to thicken the rum sauce and added a little nutmeg. i placed the bananas in the bottom of a desert bowl and a pint of vanilla ice cream with three uniform scoops to finish it off...i then drizzled the rum-stuff over it all. i could eat this until i was made sick. recommended."

"It was terrible. the bananas were mushy and had no flavor. The sauce was sticky and also had no flavor. DO NOT MAKE THIS!"

"We were a little unsure of this one at first, but it's a favorite now! The rum flavor was a little strong for us, so we skip it now. Very nice light, easy, and cheap dessert!"
