Honey-Rum Grilled Bananas Recipe
- 2 tablespoons rum
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 medium firm unpeeled bananas
- Vanilla ice cream
- 1. In a small bowl, combine the rum, honey and cinnamon; set aside. Cut bananas in half lengthwise, leaving the peel on.
- 2. Place bananas cut side down on grill. Cover and grill over medium heat for 3 minutes. Turn and brush with honey mixture. Cover and grill 5-6 minutes longer or until tender. Peel bananas. Serve immediately with ice cream. Yield: 4 servings.

"incredibly delicious desert. i used three jumbo bananas sliced longways and the cut in half. grilled the bananas until the had grill marks and added a bit of corn syrup to thicken the rum sauce and added a little nutmeg. i placed the bananas in the bottom of a desert bowl and a pint of vanilla ice cream with three uniform scoops to finish it off...i then drizzled the rum-stuff over it all. i could eat this until i was made sick. recommended."
