- 1 package (12 ounces) broccoli coleslaw mix
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 4 teaspoons grated orange peel
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, almonds and raisins. In a small bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients. Pour over salad; toss to coat. Yield: 6 servings.

"I can't wait to try this recipe, found it in a cookbook I received from my grandma's cookbook collection. I wouldn't use a bagged broccoli slaw, I'd rather cut up some fresh broccoli and use the florets instead, but I'd probably follow the rest of the recipe. My mom makes a great broccoli salad that uses the tops instead and I love it. I will have to post my results on here when I try it. :)"

You could add chicken or pork for protein, or even surimi, and adjust the dressing accordingly. But I made this as is (except for the fruit I added) and it was great.
