The smooth thick dressing is a nice blend of tangy and sweet, with flavor reminiscent of a Western dressing. I got this recipe years ago when I worked as a cook in a high school cafeteria.—Joan Dones, Las Vegas, Nevada

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 tablespoon: 147 calories, 10g fat (1g saturated fat), 0mg cholesterol, 210mg sodium, 15g carbohydrate (0g sugars, 0g fiber), 0g protein .


  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the first eight ingredients; cover and process until blended. While processing, add oil in a steady stream. Process until thickened. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 2 cups.

"OMG! We were short on $, so I decided to look for a salad dressing that I could make from ingredients already on hand...This dressing is absolutely FABULOUS,..will make this regularly instead of buying store bought, I just cant say enough good things about this recipe"
