Honey Cereal Bars Recipe
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups Special K cereal
- 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring honey and peanut butter to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and cereal.
- 2. Press into an ungreased 9-in. square pan. Spread chocolate over bars. Chill until firm. Yield: 20 bars.

"Good, quick and easy recipe. Because we had many boxes of Cheerios on hand we used them instead. They were great! I was worried the first time I made them that it wasn't going to firm up. But they did - not too hard and not too soft, just right. These bars are good even without the chocolate coating!"
