Fireside Valentine's Day Dinner

Instead of making reservations and heading to a restaurant for a mediocre meal on Valentine's Day, invite your one and only to a flavorful fireside supper at home!

You'll only have eyes for each other…until you catch a glimpse of Orange-Glazed Cornish Hens (shown at right)! These big birds feature a special seasoned stuffing and finger-licking-good citrus glaze.

You'll both fancy Raspberry Spinach Salad, which pairs berries, sugared almonds and a slightly sweet dressing.

Then show heartfelt affection for each other by sharing succulent Miniature Spiced Chocolate Cakes topped with hot fudge sauce.

Sugared almonds provide fun crunch in this slightly sweet Raspberry Spinach Salad. "You can easily double the recipe when entertaining a larger group," explains Lauri Mills of Mississauga, Ontario.

"When our appetites are hearty, I double Mediterranean Shrimp and Pasta," says Charolette Westfall from Houston, Texas. "The shrimp and pasta are tossed in a light sauce."
