Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen dinner roll dough, thawed

Nutritional Facts

1 slice: 140 calories, 6g fat (2g saturated fat), 10mg cholesterol, 249mg sodium, 20g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 1g fiber), 4g protein.

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder, oregano, and thyme. Cut each roll in half; dip into butter mixture.
  2. Arrange in a greased 12-cup fluted tube pan. Pour remaining herb mixture over top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
  3. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 12 servings.

"I made this for a dinner party to christen my new dining room furniture. It was fun serving the pull-apart bread to company, and everyone thought it was amazing. I exchanged the thyme for rosemary, because I love rosemary and had no thyme. Someone even said it was the best bread he ever had, which is high praise indeed."

"Excellent, quick recipe. I really like bubble, pull-apart breads. I used frozen rolls which take 4 hrs to rise at room temp. Next time I may try letting them rise in the fridge and baking them the next day, and see how that works. As a home care nurse, I don't have a lot of time to cook, so I'm always looking for simple, good recipes like this."
