Reviews for Hearty Sausage Sandwich
"Made this the other day and the family declared it a keeper!! It was pretty simple and tasted delicious. I did use turkey Italian sausage and reduced fat cream cheese and it still tasted amazing!!!"
"My husband and I both thought this was awful. The cream cheese and sausage was not a good combination. If you do decide to make it, I would suggest cutting off the top third of the bread so you end up with more of a bowl to hold the filling."
"All I have to say is OMGosh... Delicious. I added a little red pepper to mine as well but did follow this recipe to the T... I will be making this again and again.. Thank you soooo much... Yummo!"
"This was amazing! I used low fat cream cheese and sliced mozerella just on the bottom layer. My husband begged me to print the recipe and keep it as one of my regulars. And even all 4 of my kids liked it!! Unbelieveably good!"
"This has been a go to recipe in my home for a few years now. Nope, not the most healthy but very satisfying."
"It was good but I think it has too much cream cheese. Next time I will use more mozzarella and less of the cream cheese"
"My whole family loved this. My 8 year-old grandson has requested it at least twice since I made it (about 2 weeks ago)."
"I made this for a party and everyone LOVED it! The bread easily sliced up into 15+ pieces for sharing, although it's a little messy so it's not the best finger food! The flavor was delicious and it's so budget friendly!"
"Made this sandwich for a party last night and it was a big hit. The only change I made was to use Jimmy Dean sausage and I did not measure the the amount of cheese I used. Will be making this again."
"I made this today. what a keeper. I made one change, that was the bread. I used kaiser rolls, and sliced the top off (very thin) made a bowl out of the bottom. Followed the filling directions and was it good. Great for individual servings without having to cut the loaf. Fantastic!! I will be making again with a nice green salad"
"Made these for supper last night. Followed recipe exactly, was sooo good. You need something like this every once in awhile."
"Too Bad MICHIGANGIRL- This is a very good recipe. Live a little."
"YOUR FAT AND SODIUM ARE WAY TOO HIGH! TRY TO USE 2% FAT CHEESES AND EITHER turkey OR SOY SAUSAGE TO LOWER THESE. WITH THE CREAM CHEESE, USE THE NO-FAT TYPE . ALSO, PAY ATTENTION TO THE bread TYPE/BRANDS THAT YOU USE. THEY VARY GREATLY IN THEIR NUTRITIONAL FACTS.I WOULDN'T TOUCH THIS RECIPE AS IT IS WRITTEN!"
"use turkey sausage and low fat cream cheese"
"I would like to have a lower fat version - any chance?"
"These are super yummy! I've also just made the mix and eat it in bowl with a slice of bread. NUM NUM!"
