"I make ham rolls once a year and they are a hit but mine are completely different. I have tried these with ranch dressing and they seem too bland. Mine are made with softened cream cheese, horseradish, and a dash of worcestershire sauce."
"For the whipped cream cheese or butter put it in your mixer and whip it quickly. I made this a little differently. Cream cheese sour cream and a little tabasco then dry ham before spreading. Then use toothpicks after rolling and use kitchen shears or knife to cut into four bites. Put captains wafer crackers on the side."
"I really like this appetizer. I used 1 1/2 tsp. of the Ranch Dressing mix instead of the full Tablespoon, as I was concerned about them being too salty. Love the chopped walnuts in them, as they add a little bit of a crunch. They are attractive to look at and they got lots of rave reviews from my guests."
"These were awful. Walnuts, ranch flavor and garlic just don't go together according to everyone who tried them."
"Very, very good! I loved them just following the recipe, although I used an extra large clove of garlic! My only problem was that I ate it all in less than 12 hours! Very yummy if you like garlic!"
