  • 1 pound fresh green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the beans, garlic and water to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until tender. Drain. Stir in the oil, oregano, salt and pepper. Serve immediately. Yield: 4 servings.

"One word - Yuck! Oregano does not go with green beans. flavor is strange. (Not good). I usually give suggestions on how to fix a recipe, but I can't help this one."
