Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking cocoa
  • 1/4 cup cold butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • GLAZE:
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons 2% milk

  • For topping, combine the flour, brown sugar and cocoa in a bowl. Cut
  • in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans;
  • sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a
  • toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 15
  • minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over
  • cake. Yield: 1 cake (8 servings).
