Glazed Chicken Wings Recipe

I received the recipe for these yummy wings from a cousin on Vancouver Island during a visit there a few years ago. They're an appealing appetizer, but also a favorite for Sunday lunch with rice and a salad. —Joan Airey, Rivers, Manitoba
TOTAL TIME: Prep: 15 min. Bake: 50 min. YIELD:24 servings

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

Directions

  • 1. Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip section. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Combine barbecue sauce, honey and soy sauce; pour over wings. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until chicken juices run clear. Yield: 2 dozen.
Editor's Note: Uncooked chicken wing sections (wingettes) may be substituted for whole chicken wings.

"I have done this recipie in the oven and crockpot, both work great! I tend to go a little lighter the soy sauce and a little bit more on the BBQ sauce (i normally use honey BBQ). This tend to make the sauce a little thicker. Absolutely loved the recipie and so did my husband!"

"I made this for my family as a part of our 'Superbowl"meal, everyone loved it. My brother gave it an "A+". The wings were very good. I used about 2lbs of drum/wingettes, lo cal BBQ sauce and lower salt soy sauce. I basted and turned the wings over about every 20 minutes for a total bake time of 60 minutes. Prior to serving, I placed them in a nice dish and drizzled on some of the sauce from the pan. I will most certainly make this dish again. Thanks."
