My two young boys are enthusiastic about learning to cook. So whenever I head for the kitchen, they volunteer to measure, scoop, pour and stir. And with this fun breakfast idea, they also practice their "painting"... without ruining my walls!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon milk for each color desired
  • 3 to 4 drops food coloring of any colors desired
  • Bread

Directions

In a small bowl, combine milk and food coloring. With a small spoon, cotton swabs or clean small paintbrush, "paint" a face on a piece of bread. Toast. Yield: 1 serving.

"I tried to mke this for my mom one morning, and my sister and I forgot to add the milk and when my mom ate it she didn't want to hurt our feelings but she told us that it tasted like medicine. My sister and I started lauging so hard!"

"Wouldn't that be hard to toast, being wet from the milk? It might be netter to paint tge face on AFTER the bread is toasted (lightly)"
