Fun-on-the-Run Snack Mix Recipe
“My kids love this and have no idea they’re eating cranberries. It’s a great healthy snack for car rides, hikes or picnics,” writes Carrie Hubbard from Buena Vista, Colorado.
- 2 cups Wheat Chex
- 2 cups miniature fish-shaped crackers
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 cup salted peanuts
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1. In a large bowl, combine the cereal, crackers, pretzels, peanuts and cranberries. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 8 cups.
1/2 cup equals 143 calories, 6 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 207 mg sodium, 20 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 4 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 starch, 1 fat.
