- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup baking cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Whipped cream, optional
- Strawberries, optional
- In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, cocoa and salt. Stir in nuts.
- Pour into a greased 9-in. pie pan or ovenproof skillet. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until almost set. Serve with whipped cream and strawberries if desired. Yield: 6 servings.
