Fruited Coleslaw Recipe
“We all need to get more fruits and vegetables into our daily diet, and this dish is a great-tasting way to do it,” says Linda Stevens of Madison, Alabama.
- 2 cups coleslaw mix
- 1 snack-size cup (4 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped apple
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1. In a small bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, oranges and apple. Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over coleslaw mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Yield: 3 servings.
2/3 cup: 125 calories, 7g fat (1g saturated fat), 7mg cholesterol, 173mg sodium, 16g carbohydrate (14g sugars, 1g fiber), 1g protein.
