Instead of pouring a glass of ordinary orange juice, we suggest making this refreshing smoothie that's quickly prepared in a blender. —Taste of Home Test Kitchen

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened sliced peaches
  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions

In a blender, combine all ingredients. Cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately. Yield: 4 servings.

"This was an excellent smoothie recipe. It wasn't quite sweet enough for me so I added 1/2 teaspoon stevia and that did the trick. I also used skim milk instead of 2%. I will definately be making these again. My grandchildren will love them."

"If you really want to make it diabetic friendly, use agave instead of honey. You may want to start with 1 tablespoon of agave, as I find it to be more sweet than honey."

"I rated this recipe with 5 stars because I think smoothies are absolutely awesome ~ also, there are so many ways you can individualize yours!

I don't do well with milk or orange juice, BUT my usual smoothie consists of greek yogurt, fruit, fruit juice and I run it thru my magic bullet(blender, hand mixer)"
