WE OFTEN ENJOY this delicious dessert shake after dinner, when we want something cool and refreshing. It makes a lovely treat...and it brings back memories of soda-fountain drinks. -Diane Widmer, Blue Island, Illinois

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda


  • 1. In a blender add orange juice and ice cream; cover and process until smooth. Stir in soda. Serve in chilled glasses. Yield: 2 servings.

"Yum! Light, mild and refreshing! Can add more lemon and/or lime juice for stronger flavor.

Also, frozen yogurt makes a good substitute for ice cream."
