Years ago, my children and I came up with these bars by combining two of their favorite treats. With a crisp cookie crust and a fluffy frosting, these brownies are the most requested treats at our house.

"These were a decent enough brownie, but I didn't find them to be special enough to be worth all the extra effort."

"These are a bit of work to make but worth it. They are very rich but cut into small pieces and they look great on the plate. I cook the cookie part for only 5 minutes otherwise they are to overcooked when they go in the second time. I have also made them with home made choc chip cookie dough but did need to cook that layer the full 10 minutes."

"These are alright, but way too much work for the end result. The cookie dough crust gets too brown during the 2nd baking and ends up crumbling when you try to cut them. And they really don't taste very much like a brownie."

"This recipe was a definite crowd pleaser for my large family. The finished product looks like it would take hours to make but it's actually quite simple. My 13 and 15 year old made it, and we devoured it!"

"These were soooooo good!! Good thing they're not for me. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to stop eating them. It was easy and fun to make. If you're looking for something to make for a small get together or an easy dish for a party, make these!"
