French Dressing Recipe
Instead of turning to store-bought salad dressings that lack freshness and flavor, try this easy dressing. This simple homemade topping adds tangy flavor to an ordinary lettuce salad.—Mrs Robert Lieske, Ripon, Wisconsin
- 1 cup canola oil
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 small onion, quartered
- 1. Combine all ingredients in a blender container. Cover and blend at medium-high until well mixed. Chill before serving. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. Yield: 24 servings.
1 serving (2 tablespoons) equals 110 calories, 9 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 276 mg sodium, 8 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, trace protein.
